Cabbage Kielbasa Supper

Altough it has been a long time since I have been able to participate in Slow Cooking Thursday, I always visit Sandra's Blog each week and all the great crock pot recipes.

Although I am not a fan of Kielbasa Sausage, my husband loves this so I fix it for him and him alone!

8 c. coarsely shredded cabbage
1 medium onion, chopped
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 lb. Kielbasa or Polish sausage, cut into serving size pieces
3 medium potatoes, cut into 1/2 in. cubes
1 3/4 tsp. salt
1 can (14 1/2 oz.) chicken broth

In a slow cooker, combine the cabbage, potatoes, onion, salt and pepper. Pour broth over all. Place sausage on top (slow cooker will be full, but cabbage will cook down.) Cover and cook on low for 8-9 hours or until vegetables are tender and sausage is heated through.

  1. This one sounds really good for our family. Thank you for sharing.

  2. Looks interesting.... 8 lbs of Kielbasa?

  3. I LOVE kielbasa....this sounds so good.

  4. Ooops! Not 8 lbs. but 1 lb. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

  5. Not a cabbage fan nor a kielbasa fan except with the Colorful Kielbasa recipe from taste of home.

  6. I love all these ingredients, I will have to try it.

  7. The recipe for Cabbage Kielbasa Supper sure sounds good. Do you think your husband would share it with his mother-in-law? After all he is my favorite son-in-law.
