Great Saturday

Well, my vacation is coming to a close but it has sure been a great one. All good things must come to an end right?

My mom and I went to Mighty Dollar in Somerset today. I love this store. They have lots of neat stuff plus loads of great scrapbooking items. Everything is just $1 each so that helps me love it more. Below is just some of the things I bought today.

First off, I will start with the scrapbooking items. Remember, $1.00 each!

Next, how do ya like my little silverware dish drainer. Isn't it just the cutest thing?

And of course I can't go anywhere unless I buy paper and/or pencil. So, I bought some book markers for the girls in Sunday School class, some post-it tags, and some colored index cards.

We then went to visit my bnl at the Lake Cumberland Flea Market. He makes one great glass of lemonade if your ever over that way. As you can see, I drank all of mine.

The fresh pork rinds were very good and fresh also. (No carbs!)

Going to the Flea Market was so much more fun having the great escort that we had. This is my new niece. (I need to come up with a nick name for her. She calls my husband Goofy Goober. lol) She is so sweet and loves to give everyone hugs.

Back at home, I have finished the baby afghan. It will going to it's new home this afternoon to a beautiful baby girl.

I have started on something for me now. A crocheted bag to keep my projects in that I am working on so I can either take them with me or take it from room to room. I got this pattern from attic24.

I am also trying my hand at making bracelets. These are my first ones but the black one I am not satisfied with so I will be redoing it.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

  1. oh i love them how about some ankle ones!!!!

  2. She actually calls him skunk bag now too. Dad explained to her what a skunk was and how they sprayed and she automatically thought that sounded like a good name for goofy goober.

  3. Hi Tammi, I don't know what happened to my comment I posted a couple of days ago...I wanted to tell you how I admire your talent, how lovely it was that you found such great bargains and how cute your niece is, she sounds like great fun!
